When is Desert Lights: Desert Lights takes place August 14–15, 2026. Festival programming begins Friday at sunset, with the first performances starting at approximately 8:00 PM MST.

Where is Desert Lights: Nestled in the world's largest alpine valley, Desert Lights takes place on 10 acres of private land in Costilla County, Colorado. The festival is located just 30 minutes south of Great Sand Dunes National Park and approximately four hours south of Denver, offering a truly unique setting surrounded by breathtaking mountain landscapes.

Why Desert Lights Exists: Desert Lights was created to give attendees the opportunity to disconnect from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with nature through music, art, and community. Set against breathtaking mountain views, a carefully curated lineup of house, tech house, and acid house provides the perfect soundtrack to an unforgettable weekend.

We're also excited to welcome the four-piece rock band Huck N' Pray, who will open Saturday's programming and perform through sunset. As day turns to night, settle in and watch the landscape transform as immersive lighting brings the festival grounds to life.
